Xangle Camera Server

XangleCS is a set of software created to run a complete multi-camera system: connect, control, trigger, calibrate, preview, publish, share. It is currently used by many of the top bullet-time agencies and photogrammetry studios around the world. It is the simplest solution to get started (no trigger system required), and can easily scale over 1000 cameras. Camera support includes Canon, Sony, GoPro, Android and Picam. Triggering is made by USB, and yes, it is super accurate!

Per-camera liveview controls, smarter numbering

  • Liveview settings now support independent per-camera controls while keeping shared group settings synchronized.
  • Camera values update correctly when switching between cameras, with clearer indicators for individual controls.
  • Live View now provides direct access to camera renumbering.
  • Sony driver troubleshooting now supports uninstalling the local driver as well as repairing it.
  • Camera connection detection and retry behavior are more reliable, including improved local server URL handling.
  • Alignment tools now use private image copies so external processing cannot modify the original dataset files.

Autofocus visibility, faster camera setting sync, and safer node/image workflows

  • Autofocus now has full run tracking across cameras, with a live results toast you can minimize or dismiss, plus per-camera success/failure/timeout states.
  • Liveview autofocus feedback is clearer during and after a hold action, and autofocus result panels now surface extra camera-level detail when something fails.
  • Picam: New reset flows let operators reset a single camera setting or reset all supported settings back to camera defaults directly from camera control UI.
  • Canon: Sync from the master camera is now more reliable, with reduced delay when applying settings across larger camera groups.
  • Camera group status now reports expected-but-missing cameras more accurately, and live frame naming better distinguishes iteration snapshots to avoid ambiguous frame lists.
  • Network node actions now block stale/offline snapshot rows for image-prep operations and show clearer guidance to select a currently live boot server.
  • Output preset rendering is more robust, including better handling when presets are applied to non-video sources.

Live transfer dashboard, dual capture progress, and network node diagnostics

  • New Pi images published! (contains latest XNN package)
  • Cloud splat training from a cloud camera registration (RealityScan not required on local computer anymore)
  • Quickview and Frames now show files as soon as each transfer finishes, instead of waiting for the full dataset to settle — much smoother on large multi-camera captures.
  • Dual JPG + RAW captures now report split transfer progress, so JPG can finish and show as complete while RAW is still coming in.
  • Transfer timeouts and aborted media loads surface clearer errors in the media views.
  • Troubleshooting can wipe the working folder more thoroughly, with a cleaner state reset afterward.
  • Troubleshooting also collects and resets logs from Raspberry Pi network nodes alongside the local debug report, with an in-app log viewer for node output.
  • The Network Nodes module can be fully turned off; when disabled, the machine behaves as if it has no network-node capability.
  • Added a re-number cameras dialog that reassigns every camera or only fills in the ones still un-numbered.
  • The trigger sync stats table adds a full-press offset column with improved sorting and metrics.
  • Renamed "App Settings" to "General" and updated on-screen wording from "booth" to "station".
  • Large multi-camera transfers are faster and more reliable through dataset eviction, configurable thread pools, and pipelined writes with better error recovery.
