For anyone managing a multi-camera array, the challenge of configuring and reconfiguring settings for different shots can be a significant bottleneck. Xangle's new camera zoning feature is designed to eliminate this friction, allowing you to organize your cameras and their settings with unprecedented efficiency. Imagine you have a large setup, perhaps 250 cameras for a full-body volumetric capture. You might need one set of cameras focused on the head, another on the body, and a smaller group for quick test shots. With Xangle's camera zones, you can define these groups precisely. Each zone can have its own saved camera settings: think ISO, aperture, shutter speed, white balance, and even capture mode (e.g., CR3 + JPEG single shot versus JPEG-only burst). The demo illustrates this beautifully by showing how easy it is to switch between a 'head' zone configured for high-quality CR3 + JPEG single shots and a 'body' zone optimized for rapid JPEG burst sequences (OLAT for instance...). Not only can you select zones from the dashboard, but keyboard shortcuts make transitions instantaneous. This means less time fiddling with individual camera settings and more time capturing incredible 3D data. This feature is a huge upgrade for large-scale photogrammetry, bullet-time, and volumetric capture projects.
