Splice Boys developed the world's first commercial entirely with 3D Gaussian Splats and a custom-built light field array. This innovative project involved extensive R&D, utilizing 150 cameras, hundreds of hours of machine learning tests, and 81 custom CT6 cables, with rigging precise to the millimeter. The team collaborated with Publicis Worldwide, who supported the new imaging system and integrated it with creative direction from ECD Ryan Petie. The Producers assembled an A-team, and Director Oly Altavilla maintained focus on the story and character amidst the technical complexity, resulting in a new pathway from live action to 3D.
