Riot Games brought a 24-camera bullet-time photobooth to PAX East for its popular game, League of Legends. This interactive experience allowed attendees to capture dynamic, multi-angle photographs, creating a unique souvenir from the event. The setup provided fans with an immersive way to engage with the League of Legends brand, utilizing advanced camera technology to produce striking visual effects. This activation highlighted the creative possibilities of integrating high-tech photography into large-scale fan events.

At PAX East 2016 in Boston, we brought our 24-camera bullet-time rig to life on a 120-degree arc, delivering an unforgettable photo booth experience for League of Legends fans. As part of the immersive Riftwalk activation by Riot Games, attendees stepped into the spotlight to capture dynamic freeze-frame moments in full cosplay. Powered by our proprietary Xangle Camera Server, the system used precise USB triggering to ensure flawless multi-angle captures. Over three days, we captured hundreds of participants. Each guest received a unique RFID wristband, enabling instant access to their personalized video content for easy sharing on social media.
